Our work is informed by recent research and evidence-based practices. Our professional development aligns with current Haring Center research and new innovations within the field of inclusive and equitable education.
Sustainability
We strive to create systems that lead to lasting change. The Haring Center supports communities and schools in implementing effective and permanent systems that contribute to greater access, participation and inclusion for all learners, families, and communities.
Our Impact
The Haring Center Professional Development team had an impactful 2024-25 school year–our 32 dedicated research and professional development staff members provided training and support to more than 24,000 individuals.
We partnered with schools and communities across the United States and around the world—including Oregon, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Alaska, Singapore, Italy, Brazil, and Tasmania—to advance inclusive education through high-quality professional learning.
Highlights from the year:
- Training and coaching spanned early childhood through adult education
- Delivered 15,000+ hours of professional development
- Conducted workshops and coaching in English, Spanish, and Somali and translated online training materials to Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese
- Focus areas included inclusive practices, behavior supports, social-emotional learning, and co-teaching
