Testimonials

The times that I attended [the office hours] were extremely valuable to me and have changed the whole tone of my program. Thanks for offering those! For Early Achievers "records review," we need to mention that we have a plan in place for getting help from a professional if we have a child with challenging behavior. Having office hours would help to satisfy that part of the records review. Even more importantly, it is just so valuable for helping the kids and staff in our programs. Kids are coming with behaviors that challenge the caregivers more and more, so this is needed more and more. Also, Imagine Institute used to have a professional person you could call with questions, but they no longer have that feature, so there is no other place for us to go. We really NEED this, and the help is on spot for helping with such great ideas. There is no other program that can adequately provide this than the Haring Center!

[After the training] we are using the Snack Talks laminated visual aids for snack and lunch times to facilitate child-child socialization and verbalization! I did an observation and noticed some children were eating together without talking at all -- just playing with their food and making sounds. Thankfully, I recalled this resource and shared it with staff! This is why we love the Haring Center! 🩷

Thank you to all of you who have made this training connection to the Haring Center possible. I believe the more early childhood educators in our community are connected to the resources you are providing, the wider spread the practices you teach will become in our community. So big thanks for opening up your expertise to build up everyone's best practices.

The overall subject and the ways it is being addressed is very relevant, practical, and helpful. I was grateful to learn strategies for preventing challenging behavior, strategies for how to manage it when it happens, and strategies for managing my own emotions and thoughts in these situations. I deeply valued the ways impacts of trauma and neurodiverse populations were a focus within the overall subject of behavior. Each session of the 2 I've attended, have given me greater understanding, a bigger perspective, and a rich array of tools to use to focus my observation and deepen my understanding of what I see happening on the surface.
