Inclusion Includes You: Engaging People with Disabilities
Join us for this new training on including people with disabilities!
The ARC of King County and the University of Washington Haring Center have teamed up to bring you this is a two-tiered training series for professionals in educational and recreational programs who would like to better engage people with social, behavioral and cognitive differences.

|Did you know that disability is a form of diversity?
Many people don't. disability is often left out of equity and social justice
conversations, however people with disabilities are one of the most
marginalized and disempowered groups.Join this workshop to become part of the solution.
Together we will discuss how our thoughts impact our words and
the way we treat people with disabilities to help each person identify
their role in creating a culture of inclusion.
|Participants will gain hands-on skills to deliver
inclusive programs.Topics include Universal Design for Learning
and multi-tiered systems of support, tips
for modifying curriculum and activities,
setting up your environment for success, and
effective communication strategies
|Trainers are people with disabilities, family members and allies.||Trainers are professional educators from the Haring Center,
teachers and Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
$400 for stand-alone training; $250 if paired with the
$600 for stand-alone training; $400 if paired with
Both trainings are most effectively done in 3 hours each, but can be modified to 2 hours, although it is not recommended.
Cost for both trainings is $650 (this is a $350 savings!)
